Three of our guides are specialist bird lodges in the national parks of Way Kambas (Satwa Sumatra Ecolodge), Tanjung Putting (Rimba Orangutan Ecolodge) and the Mbeliling protected conservation area (Mbeliling Mountain Ecolodge) in West Manggerai, Flores, near Labuan Bajo and the Komodo islands. Both have specialist bird guides for their respective areas.

After briefing by your expert guide, we embark on an afternoon bird walk, with the coveted Bali Starling and the elusive Banded Pitta in our sights. Board a private klotok riverboat and drift deep into Tanjung Puting — the world's oldest rainforest, where wild orangutans, proboscis monkeys, and rare hornbills define each extraordinary day.
- Cruise the Sekonyer River aboard a traditional klotok, watching for exotic wildlife along the lush rainforest riverbanks.
- Visit Camp Leakey — the global epicenter of orangutan research — and observe wild orangutans, gibbons, and rare canopy birds.

- Cross three islands in a single day — a true trans-Indonesian journey from Borneo's rivers to Sumatra's lowland forests.
- Spend four days birding across Way Kambas, home to the critically endangered White-winged Wood Duck and 320+ recorded species.
