At Kelimutu Crater Lakes Ecolodge, the Agricultural project has raised enough money for at least one months salaries, through rice production, tomatoes, and white cabbage, and other vegetables.
Now the tomatoes are finished the land has been cleaned and ploughed with our own little tractor by Pak Frengki, ready for new bean seedlings. He has worked so hard, but did not want to take any of the money from the tomatoes, as so many had been ruined by early rain.
We share loss as well as gain, we explained!
The two bulls are looking splendid, having been given papaya leaves for a glossy coat and worm treatment! The trouble is that everyone is fond of them…but they will be sold soon.

The Mbeliling Mountain Ecolodge had some Kemiri, or Candlenut, trees which had to be cut back, so Hetni collected up the fallen nuts, which, once shelled bring a good price. Cassava is also being replanted. The 450 small catfish fingerlings have moved into their new tank with only a few casualties, so with proper aeration now we hope we do more than just break even after the loss through the bung hole the last time. The pineapples are being Harvested, and Mbeliling pineapples are delicious.

In Sumatra, the Satwa Elephant Ecolodge goat project has gone from the original stock of seven goats to sixteen” in just over a year, thanks to two sets of twins and only one accidental death. Of course the care they receive is exceptional, all food being cut and carried to them.
Pineapples are growing well here too.

Rimba orangutan Ecolodge ,being in a swamp is growing chillies in polybags, and the Nile Perch are being harvested to feed the new Forest Management Training Centre which takes place for two days every fortnight to teach the importance of planting forest and the skills to go with it.

Semua kabar terbaru tentang proyek Pertanian Ecolodges Indonesia!
Di Kelimutu Ecolodge, proyek Pertanian telah mengumpulkan cukup pendapatan untuk gaji, setidaknya untuk satu bulan, melalui produksi beras, tomat, dan kubis putih, dan sayuran lainnya.
Sekarang tomat sudah dipanen. Lahan lainnya sudah dibersihkan dan dibajak dengan traktor kecil kami oleh Pak Frengki, dan siap untuk ditanami bibit kacang baru. Pak Frengki telah bekerja sangat keras, tetapi tidak mengambil hasil dari panen tomat, karena begitu banyak tanaman yang rusak oleh hujan saat awal penanaman. Kami berbagi kerugian serta keuntungan.
Kedua sapi jantan kami itu tampak sehat, setelah diberi daun pepaya untuk bulu yang mengilap dan obat cacing! Masalahnya adalah semua orang menyukai mereka … tetapi mereka akan segera dijual.

Di Mbeliling Ecolodge kami memiliki beberapa pohon Kemiri, yang harus ditebang, jadi Hetni mengumpulkan semua biji dari pohon yang ditebang, yang nanti setelah dikupas kan menghasilkan harga yang bagus. Singkong juga sedang ditanam kembali. 450 benih ikan lele kecil telah pindah ke tangki baru dan hanya sedikit dari bibit lele yang mati, jadi dengan aerasi yang tepat sekarang kami berharap kami melakukan lebih dari sekedar impas dan mendapat keuntungan dari budidaya lele ini. Nanas disana sedang panen, dan nanas Mbeliling terkenal enak.

Di Sumatera, proyek kambing Satwa Ecolodge telah berubah dari stok asli tujuh ekor menjadi enam belas hanya dalam waktu satu tahun, berkat dua pasang anak kembar dan hanya satu kematian karena kecelakaan. Tentu saja perawatan yang mereka terima sangat istimewa, semua makanan dipotong dan diawasi.Nanas juga tumbuh dengan baik di sini.

Rimba Ecolodge, mulai menanam cabai dalam polibag, dan ikan nila sedang dipanen untuk makan restaurant selama kegiatab Pusat Pelatihan Pengelolaan Hutan baru yang berlangsung selama dua hari setiap dua minggu, untuk mengajarkan pentingnya menanam hutan dan keterampilan yang harus mereka miliki.
